Africa Product Development ltd. (APD) was established in 2008 by a entrepreneur with a strong belief in sustainability and the conviction that Africa is the place to be for the next decades. Its founder, who originates from a long-standing commercial background, wanted to incorporate commercial, social and environmental activities with lucrative business opportunities.

APD promotes sustainable development. Sustainable development requires environmental and social implementations at all levels. This is facilitated by a continuous dialogue with governmental bodies, locals and investors in order to analyse the project, plan support strategies, implement support programmes and to monitor the results.

The company has a Socio-Economic Approach to Management (SEAM), based on two key elements: participation and collaboration. Through time SEAM leads to a sustainable growth of the value of human capital within the company. It consists of a healthy mix between experiences, competencies, cultural backgrounds and nationalities in a motivating working environment.
